Jake Harris - Principal
Jake Harris is the founding member and Chief executive officer of Firebird Investment Group LLC. Twelve years ago, Jake was involved in commercial construction as an estimator, superintendent, and project manager. He was running millions of dollars of commercial property rehabs for clients like Equity Office Properties in the Sacramento region and San Francisco Bay Area. He sees the value added in acquiring below-market properties to reposition them with cost-effective rehabs for resale.
Ten years ago, Jake decided to transition his day-to-day operational experience into buying houses and rehabbing them for short-term profits. Although he was still working in the Bay Area, his first house was located in Glendale, AZ. Soon after he relocated full-time operations to the Phoenix, Arizona, region. After several years he once again relocated back to Northern California in 2008.
In 2011, while consulting and working with large private investment firms, he formed Firebird to use his knowledge of and experience in purchasing large quantities of below-market SFRs and REOs to leverage his and other high-net-worth investors into below-market properties in the AZ and CA markets.
Jake has been working with many of the largest investment groups both locally and nationwide as a consultant and contractor, managing the acquisition, rehab, and resale of over 190 houses with a combined value of over $90M. His clients include Blackstone (Invitation Homes), Caymus, Vineyard Homes, Aldea Homes, and 29th Street.
